At an event that usually focuses on machines, tools and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, the next generation of the SIMON GROUP was also present this time. Accompanied by their training supervisor, the apprentices visited the AMB exhibition in Stuttgart, taking the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in metal processing at this international trade show.
Even during their tour of the exhibition halls, the diversity and dynamism of the industry became clear. From cutting-edge machine tools to innovative manufacturing solutions and new technologies, there was plenty for the apprentices to discover. Many exhibitors demonstrated how production processes are evolving and the possibilities offered by modern metal processing.
For the apprentices, the visit to the trade show provided a welcome change from their daily training routine. Technical concepts, which they are otherwise mainly familiar with from textbooks, classroom instruction and daily practice, could be experienced in action at the AMB. Questions were discussed right on the spot, and the trainees gained new insights.
Max Rehfuß, who joined the SIMON GROUP at the start of September, was also there. The group outing gave him the opportunity to get to know his new colleagues better and share his initial experiences outside the usual working routine.
As well as gaining professional insights, team building was also a key focus. There was plenty of time for conversation, shared experiences and interaction between the exhibition halls. It is precisely these kinds of activities that transform a group of trainees into a well-coordinated team.
For the SIMON GROUP, nurturing its young talent is an important part of its development as a company. The visit to AMB showed in a special way how technical learning and shared experiences can be combined.
Finally, armed with numerous impressions and new insights, the trainee group set off on their journey home. The AMB will be remembered not only for the technology on display, but also as an outing that added variety to their daily training routine.
